My Approach to Kitchen Design
ANGELA KANELLOPOULOS
OWNER+PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
After almost 20 years designing kitchens, I’ve learned something important:
a successful renovation isn’t just about choosing cabinets — it’s about making hundreds of small decisions that all work together.
That’s why I started K12 Designs, an independent kitchen design studio serving homeowners across Niagara, Grimsby, Stoney Creek, and Burlington.
When you work with me, you work directly with the person designing and guiding your kitchen from the very first ideas through to the final installation. I intentionally take on a limited number of projects so every renovation receives the attention and thoughtful oversight it deserves.
Unlike many kitchen showrooms, I’m not tied to a single cabinet brand.
Instead, I work with a carefully selected network of trusted cabinet makers, suppliers, and skilled trades. This allows every project to be designed around what truly fits your home, lifestyle, and budget — rather than what a showroom happens to sell.
Kitchen renovations can feel overwhelming — there are endless choices and important decisions to make along the way.
My role is to simplify that process. My clients appreciate having someone experienced in their corner — someone who can answer questions honestly, offer clear direction, and help them make confident decisions without feeling rushed or pressured.
While we take the work seriously, the process itself should still be enjoyable. I believe renovations go best when there’s trust, open communication, and even a little fun along the way.
Whether you’re planning a full kitchen renovation or exploring ways to improve your current layout, I’ll guide you through the process and help you bring your vision to life.
For my clients, this means:
access to multiple high-quality cabinet makers
design decisions based on what’s best for your space
guidance you can trust without sales pressure
you don’t have to spend countless hours researching companies or comparing quotes
