My Approach to Kitchen Design

ANGELA KANELLOPOULOS

OWNER+PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

Angela Kanellopoulos, kitchen designer in Niagara, with blonde hair, glasses, and a light gray sweater smiling inside a modern, minimalistic room.

After almost 20 years designing kitchens, I’ve learned something important:
a successful renovation isn’t just about choosing cabinets — it’s about making hundreds of small decisions that all work together.

That’s why I started K12 Designs, an independent kitchen design studio serving homeowners across Niagara, Grimsby, Stoney Creek, and Burlington.

Kitchen renovations can feel overwhelming, there are endless choices and important decisions to make along the way. My role is to simplify that process. My clients appreciate having someone experienced in their corner, someone who can answer questions honestly, offer clear direction, and help them make confident decisions without feeling rushed or pressured.

Unlike most kitchen showrooms, I don’t design around a cabinet brand - I design around you. My role isn’t to sell you a product. It’s to create the best possible layout for how you live and use your space. Because I work independently, I’m able to source from a trusted network of cabinet makers and suppliers—choosing what actually fits your space, your style, and your budget. Not what a showroom happens to carry.

While I take the work seriously, the process itself should still be enjoyable. I believe renovations go best when there’s trust, open communication, and even a little fun along the way.

Whether you’re planning a full kitchen renovation or exploring ways to improve your current layout, I’ll guide you through the process and help you bring your vision to life.

For my clients, this means:

-you don’t have to spend countless hours researching companies and comparing quotes

-design decisions based on what’s best for your space

-guidance you can trust without sales pressure

-access to multiple high-quality cabinet makers
